Scottsdale to San Diego Movers

Scottsdale to San Diego is the summer-escape move: families trading 115° Julys for ocean air in Carmel Valley, empty-nesters downsizing from Gainey Ranch into a Point Loma condo, and executives relocating to UTC and Sorrento Valley. The loads tend to be furnished, curated, and worth handling properly.

We treat the Scottsdale side as white-glove work — guardhouse clearance, HOA hours, floor protection, careful crating — and the San Diego side as an access puzzle we've already solved a hundred times: hillside streets, permit parking, and downtown high-rise COIs and freight-elevator windows.

About this route

About 410 miles: west out of the Valley on I-10, south-west onto I-8 near Casa Grande and Gila Bend, through Yuma and El Centro, then the long climb over the Laguna Mountains before the descent into El Cajon and San Diego. Six hours in a car, a full driving day in a loaded truck.

Transit runs 1–2 days door-to-door. We load in Scottsdale early to stay ahead of the heat and often overnight in El Centro or Alpine so the San Diego delivery starts in the morning, when narrow streets and parking are actually workable.

Standard service

What's included in your move

Pad-wrap on all furniture, disassembly and reassembly of beds, tables, and mirrors, mattress bags, wardrobe boxes the morning of the move, floor and door-frame protection at both ends, TV dismount with labeled hardware, a dedicated truck with no co-loading, and full load and unload by our own crew.

We also file certificates of insurance for San Diego buildings and coordinate freight-elevator reservations in Downtown, Little Italy, and East Village towers — the two things most likely to derail a delivery day if nobody handles them in advance.

Binding flat-rate

Pricing & how it's calculated

Binding flat rates set from a video or in-home survey. The variables are shipment weight, whether the Scottsdale origin is a single-level house or a gated multi-story, and San Diego access — long carries, stairs, elevator reservations, or a shuttle for a street our 26-footer can't take.

Typical 2025 ranges: one-bedroom $2,400–$3,400; two-bedroom $3,300–$4,900; three-bedroom $5,000–$7,600; four-bedroom and larger $7,400–$12,000. Packing labor and materials add roughly 20–35% when you want them.

Owner-operated

Why choose Green Echo for Scottsdale → San Diego

One company, one crew, one price. We don't broker this lane out, we don't co-load your shipment with a stranger's, and the owner reviews every Scottsdale inventory before dispatch — which is why our San Diego deliveries land on the day we said they would.

"They cleared the gate, protected the floors, and had the truck loaded by noon. Two days later everything was in the Point Loma house — including a piano they moved down a flight of stairs without a scratch. The final invoice matched the quote exactly."

Frequently asked questions

How long does Scottsdale to San Diego take?+

1–2 days door-to-door. Small loads regularly deliver the day after pickup; full households overnight once in El Centro or Alpine.

Do you handle San Diego high-rise deliveries?+

Yes. We file the COI with your building, reserve the freight elevator, and confirm the move-in window with management before the crew is dispatched.

Can you take my car too?+

Yes — open or enclosed auto transport from Scottsdale to San Diego, scheduled to arrive alongside your household goods.

Can you store my things if the San Diego closing slips?+

Yes. We offer 30, 60, and 90-day climate-controlled storage with one redelivery in San Diego included.

Do you move safes, pianos, and gym equipment?+

Yes, with the right gear — stair-climbing dollies, an 1,800 lb appliance dolly, and extra crew when the weight or the staircase calls for it. Tell us at the survey so it's priced in.
