Long Distance Moving Services from CA & AZ

Cross-state moves with a coordinator who actually answers.

A long distance move is mostly an exercise in trust. You hand the contents of a home to a crew on a Tuesday in California and expect them in Arizona, Nevada, Texas, or Colorado on a date you can actually plan around. Most of the horror stories the industry is famous for come from companies that quote weight, broker the load, swap trucks at a warehouse, and then 'discover' a different number on delivery day.

Green Echo runs long-distance moves the opposite way: a single survey, a binding flat rate, a dedicated truck, and one coordinator from quote through delivery. We focus our long-distance routes on the western United States — Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, and Texas — because that's where we can guarantee transit windows we'd be willing to schedule a closing around.

A good fit if

Who this service is for

  • Cross-state household moves anywhere in the western US originating in California or Arizona.
  • Corporate relocations where the employee needs a firm delivery window, not a vague two-week range.
  • Military and government moves that require detailed inventories and on-time delivery.
  • Multi-stop moves: one pickup, two delivery cities (we run these regularly between AZ and the Pacific Northwest).

Standard service

What's included

  • Binding flat-rate quote based on a real survey — never weight-based, never 'estimated.'
  • Dedicated truck and crew, no co-loading with strangers' shipments.
  • Federal cargo coverage at 60¢/lb plus optional full-value protection.
  • GPS tracking and a coordinator with your inventory in front of them.
  • Guaranteed delivery window — not a 1–14 day spread that absorbs the company's logistics problems.
  • Disassembly at origin and reassembly at destination, materials and labor included.

Process

How it works

  1. Step 01

    Survey

Detailed in-home or video walkthrough, typically 25–40 minutes for full households. We catalog inventory, photograph high-value items, and discuss access at both ends.

  2. Step 02

    Binding quote

Written, binding flat-rate quote within one business day. We walk through every line item — pad, wrap, crate, transit, delivery, materials — before you sign anything.

  3. Step 03

    Load

Origin crew arrives, protects the home, loads in one shift, and the lead driver locks the truck. You get the truck number, the driver's name, and a phone number that reaches them directly.

  4. Step 04

    Transit

Daily check-in from your coordinator with current location and revised ETA. Federal hours-of-service rules dictate driver rest, and we follow them — that's why our delivery windows are real.

  5. Step 05

    Delivery

Destination crew meets the truck, walks the home, places and reassembles, and removes debris. Sign-off after you've inspected, not before.

Transparent

Pricing & what to expect

Binding flat-rate, period. Typical 2025 ranges for long-distance moves from CA or AZ: small studio (under 2,500 lbs) $2,400–$4,000; one-bedroom $3,200–$5,500; two-bedroom $4,500–$8,000; three-bedroom $7,000–$12,500; four-bedroom $10,500–$18,000.

Distance is the biggest variable. A move from Phoenix to Las Vegas runs much lighter than Phoenix to Seattle. Access (stairs, long carries, shuttle requirements) and added services (packing, crating, storage) are itemized on the quote, never sprung on you at delivery.

Owner-operated

Why Green Echo for this work

Long distance is where the industry's bad actors do the most damage. We built our long-distance practice as a corrective: licensed, binding, dedicated trucks, and a real human as your single point of contact. We turn down loads we can't actually deliver on the window we'd quote, which is unusual and the reason our reviews look like they do.
