If you've rented a U-Haul, Penske, Budget truck, or have a PODS or 1-800-PACK-RAT container at the curb, you don't need a full moving company — you need a trained crew for a few hours. Green Echo's labor-only service is exactly that: two, three, or four insured movers who show up on time, load (or unload) the equipment correctly, and clock out when the job is done.
We've loaded more rental trucks than we can count, and the math almost always works in your favor: a properly loaded 26-foot truck holds 25–40% more than one packed by friends, and it's far less likely to shift in transit. The hourly cost of our crew is usually less than the cost of one piece of broken furniture, and infinitely less than the cost of pulling your back lifting a dresser.

How it works
Step 01
Book
Tell us truck or container size, address, stairs, and approximate inventory. We confirm crew size and arrival window in writing.
Step 02
Arrive
Crew shows up in uniform, walks the home, protects floors, and gets to work. Hourly clock starts at arrival.
Step 03
Load or unload
We load tier by tier, straps every level, blanket-wrap furniture, and stack to maximize space. Or we unload, place furniture, and reassemble.
Step 04
Sign off
Walk the truck or home with the lead, sign the work order, pay. Most labor-only jobs wrap in 2–4 hours.

Pricing & what to expect
Labor-only is billed hourly with a two-hour minimum: two movers $135–$160/hour, three movers $175–$215/hour, four movers $215–$265/hour. No travel fees inside our service metros; nominal travel time on jobs outside the metro.
Supplies (wardrobe boxes, mattress bags, extra wrap) are itemized at cost. We don't charge for blankets, dollies, hand trucks, or straps — they come with the crew.

The cheapest moving day decision you can make is hiring trained labor for the loading half. The 26-foot truck you've rented for $400 holds dramatically more than your friends will fit in it, and we'll have it strapped down so nothing shifts on the freeway. We've watched too many DIY moves end with broken furniture and a hospital visit; this service exists to prevent both.

Frequently asked questions
Can you supply the truck?+
No — labor-only is exactly what it sounds like. If you'd like a truck and crew, that's our standard moving service and we'd quote it accordingly.
Will you drive my rental truck?+
Generally no, due to rental company insurance restrictions. We load and unload — you (or someone on the rental agreement) drives.
Are you insured if you drop something?+
Yes. Cargo coverage applies while items are in our hands. We're not the carrier on the road, so transit coverage is on the rental company or your homeowners/renters policy.
What's the minimum booking?+
Two hours. Most loads and unloads on a typical home wrap in 2–4 hours with two or three movers.
